It looks like I am still having trouble. I have a custom theme and no plugins and it’s still the same.
I just tried dropping the database and recreating everything from scratch, it’s a small site so that was fairly easy. It’s just weird.
I would like to know if that tag is supposed to say hidden or not and if that’s changeable or if that’s a clue as to what else maybe going on.
The whole site had some kind of weird issue and was giving me http 500 errors. I removed all the plugins manually, deleted all the, themes. Backed up my config settings removed all the wordpress files and went in with an install of WP 4. I removed all the settings for the plugins from the database and other than deleting everything from the database and starting over I have pretty much a new install. I did notice that when I install NextGen and activate it the visual bar on pages and posts disappears as well. I’m thinking I may have to just delete everything and start completely over. I love the NextGen gallery and have it on 3 other sites I manage and they all work great. I still don’t know what caused this site to crater like it did.
