Subject: Follow-up: Resolved – Variation data loss and special character issue (petnwooo.com)

    Hi Woocommerce,

Thank you for your earlier assistance. I am writing to provide an update and let you know that I have successfully resolved the issue.

What I Discovered: After conducting smaller batch tests (6 products at a time), I found that the “blank data” and “special characters turning into question marks” issues were directly related to the scale of the import.

When I updated the CSV file to ensure perfect UTF-8 encoding (using Google Sheets) and performed the import in smaller batches, the variations remained intact, and symbols like and were preserved correctly. It appears that importing all 1,400+ products (mix of simple and variable) in a single session caused the importer to struggle with relationship mapping and character encoding.

Solution Applied: I am now proceeding with the update by splitting the 1,400 products into smaller, more manageable CSV files. This confirms that my workflow and file formatting were correct, but the native importer has resource limitations when handling a high volume of complex variations.

I appreciate your time and the guidance provided. You can now close this ticket.

    Best regards,
    PNW
