Turns out it was a plugin Image Rotation Fixer that supposedly fixes rotation issues with Jpegs from mobile phones. Not sure why the plugin works fine locally but not on my production server.
Ok, I’ve have since isolated this to a server issue, Jpegs load fine on a local copy of the website. Any ideas why this would suddenly change? And what should I be telling my hosting provider to have this issue fixed?
It sounds quite similar. I will wait for the next update and see if I have any issues again.
