After much research on the web…I found the answer. One needs needs at least one link before the blogroll shows up.

Jonimueller, thank you very much….I did as you suggested and it worked! I can now either start over with the same theme or go with another one.

I worked on this same template as a site hosted by WP but it bothers me knowing that I can have a blog on my server. Anyway, I noticed that when I loaded a widget on the sidebar…that everything that was there already disappeared, so I will try that.

Thanks again…you have taken a load off!

I was in the process of making changes to the theme. I deleted the links that were in ‘Blogroll’ so I could put my own and the response was that I was successful in doing so. When I clicked to view my site there was no change. After that I haven’t been able to change anything.

I decided to just change themes, but when I do and then view my site there is no change. It appears to be locked up. I saved the page so perhaps I could work on it the next day. I put it in the same directory as WP (which is a sub-directory). This is when I deleted the page and the theme hoping to be able to use another theme but all I get when I click to view my site is the same page.

    My site is http://www.stevehulldrawings.com/blog

Otto42…..you are absolutely correct! Another Unzip program did the trick and I am now ready to attempt to install WordPress.

I thank you so much for the help…..I would never have thought to do so.

    Steve
