In reply to: [reCaptcha by BestWebSoft] can’t loginI’ve had the same problem and, since I couldn’t login to my WP Admin, I had to call my host and have them disable Google reCAPTCHA. Once logged in, I deleted the plugin.

In reply to: Can’t login – getting authentication failed message – reCAPTCHAIt was Google reCAPTCHA that was preventing my login so my host, SiteGround, disabled it and now I can log in just fine.

In reply to: Can’t login – getting authentication failed message – reCAPTCHASince I can’t login, I really can’t remember which reCAPTCHA plugin I have activated. I guess I’ll have to ask my host to disable that plugin and see if that fixes the problem.

In reply to: Can’t login – getting authentication failed message – reCAPTCHAThe plugin that caused the site to shut down was a FaceBook sharing plugin but that has been disabled and is not the issue. The issue of not being able to login to my WP Admin has been going on for months but I was able to get into my WP Admin using ManageWP which is a subscription that lets you manage different sites. Now, I can’t even login that way as I need an authentication code that I can only get by accessing my WP Admin and this reCAPTCHA error message is driving me nuts because I have no idea why it shows up. There is no reCAPTCHA field to enter the characters into. I have a screenshot of this error message so I wish I could upload that to show the problem.
I switched my “share buttons” to the right side so they don’t interfere with the breadcrumb but I’d still like to be able to change the styling of the breadcrumbs so that they use the > and not using a colored arrow background. Also would like to increase the font size of the breadcrumb text.
I just changed the code to be in the content.php file so now it is fixed to be in the content page and not in the header but I’d really like it to be on the right hand side and I prefer the arrows to be > rather than a colored arrow shape behind the words. Is this possible? Also, I was on the page to edit the font size and it won’t let me change it from 14 to a bit larger. That is also where the link separator style is but it won’t let me change that either.

In reply to: [Gallery by FooGallery] Optimum size for Simple PortfolioI tried 250 h x 200 wide and that seems to work ok, just would be handy to know the optimal size for the thumbs.

In reply to: [Gallery by FooGallery] Custom URL for each thumbnail?I have just started using Foo Gallery as I’m not that happy with Gallery Bank. Like you, I have thumbnail page galleries where each thumbnail has to link to a full page and I figured out that you have to add that URL to the URL link field in the media library. The odd thing is that some of my images don’t have that URL in the library but the links are working so not sure how that happens.
Yes, the link you just posted above is the way it should look but that’s not how it looked before. Only 1/3 of the center of the image was showing before. I did try the debugging tool 3x and it didn’t help. I wish that I could post a screen shot of how the image looked when shared a few hours ago.

In reply to: White page when I want to view or edit my site!Ok, I renamed the old file and created a new one and pasted the codex into it but I’m still unable to get into my wp-admin and my site is still a blank page. I think I will have to delete my site and restore from my backup that was before all this started and I haven’t made any edits to the site since then.

In reply to: White page when I want to view or edit my site! Can’t get back into WP-admin but I found the .htaccess file in my BH file manager. How do I create a new file with the correct defaults? After that, do I delete the original file?

In reply to: White page when I want to view or edit my site!I’m having a similar problem that I just noticed yesterday. At first, I thought maybe someone hacked into BlueHost so I changed my password. My website, http://www.angelfiredesigns.com, goes to just a blank white page. I’m using WP.org, installed through BlueHost. I’m using the Virtue Premium theme from Kadence. I can’t even disable the plug-ins because every time I try to go to a different option, the entire site goes blank.
As for using the WP admin, I am able to log in but then, after I go to one of the menu options on the left, such as update my plug-ins, it won’t update and if I try to go to another option, it goes to a blank white page. At one point, it landed on my subscriber list page but when I went to the 2nd page of that list, it went blank.
If I try to access “WordPress Tools” in BlueHost, I can see all my account options but if I click on the link “login” to my site, it goes blank, with a super long URL that starts WP-admin but then goes on with code that I have never seen.
I have tried to contact BH with no luck. They used to answer the phone quickly and were very helpful but I’ve been on hold, waiting for someone to answer the line, for over 15 minutes 3 times. I haven’t even bothered to try the chat option and I’m hoping that you might have some insight.
I have my site backed up with Site Backup Pro in BH and also I use UpDraft Plus to backup to GoogleDrive. The last backup was on October 20 and I don’t know why it quit but that may be when the trouble started as I was in China from the 11th to the 19th and then traveling back east so I hadn’t looked at my site since about the 14th.
I use WP.com for the wp-admin and Askimet spam filtering but that page tells me that my site can’t be accessed.
Do I need to completely delete my site and reinstall my backup?

In reply to: [Virtue] Images not showing up on blog pageThanks for responding. As you can see from my second post here, I’ve got the images from my original posts to show perfectly on the blog page, just the way I originally set them up in each post, but now the blog page is also displaying an extra image on my first 2 posts that are duplicate images, separate from my posts (not showing in my posts when I look at those post pages), and cropped. I created a new post this morning and it is perfect, just like it should be. How can I remove the additional 2 duplicate images? You can see them here; they aren’t what I inserted and they aren’t connected to the original posts or showing in the posts page so that’s why I don’t know how to delete them. The duplicate images are the ones showing up between the June 27 and June 24 posts and there is another showing up between the June 24 and June 16 post.
