Hmmm… I had kind of been wondering if this had anything to do with the fact that I use X Theme, and Cornerstone. Don’t want to bail on all the endless work I’ve put into it already, and I like the result overall. The fix sounds laborious – more than I’m up to at this point. I will check with the Themeco people and see if they have any ideas.

Thanks again, I do appreciate your help. – Phyllis

Plugin deactivated. Sorry I disregarded that suggestion. It’s just that the problem pre-existed the plugin. It’s out of the way now. Thanks.

    Interesting.

Further symptoms: I got the RSS feedreader Leaf, and earlier today it was showing the full posts, at a time when I had the Reading settings set to full post.

Since I switched it back to “summary”, I’ve written two new posts. I went to look at them in Leaf, and it’s like your screenshot. Only the title.

Any clues where the missing code might be that is causing the omission of the summaries? When I search the Forum for info on editing RSS feeds, nothing seems to address this.

Thanks. I actually added the Better RSS Feed as one of my many attempts to solve the problem. My real trouble is my inexpert knowledge of code. Any hints where I can find the missing code to fill the {!rss_item_description} variable in my newsletter? And how to fix it? I don’t know how my feed got broke or where to go to address it.
