I’m logged in as an administrator.
Permissions set correctly (chown www-data & 755 chmod)
the posts are owned by me.
For what it’s worth, I exported posts, terms & comment related tables from the troublesome installation.
I then tested a new WP installation without any posts, and the media uploader worked perfectly. Once I imported these tables into the DB though.. problem came up again..
I’m pulling my hair out here..
