Clues in the title: disable the Woolentor “Product Categories Filter” ;0)
Disabled it and it fixed the issue. Bots get stuck in a loop causing almost a DDOS like attack.
This has happened lots over the last year or so, I thought was just agressive AI bots, turns out it was your filter widget all along.
I look forward to your speedy fix, I’m currently researching alternative plugins to replace yours as affecting clients website user experience. I have to have a solution in place by monday.
Hopefully you guys will fix it, rather than me replacing your whole plugin, which is my preference as the user experience for the filter is great
