If you use the gallery option then it inserts the pictures as thumbnails. When you click on one of those pictures it becomes bigger and then allows you to flip back and forth between all the pictures in that gallery. However, as soon as you click the thumbnail and get into the “slideshow” the caption that was on the thumbnail goes away.
