    After further testing, we discovered the following;

    DOES NOT WORK
    The newsletter does not pull the correct author if the following happens

    • Create a new post.
    • Assign an author to the post.
    • Save the post.
    • Preview the newsletter → the correct author name is not displayed.

    DOES NOT WORK
    The newsletter does not pull the correct author if the following happens

    • Edit an existing post.
    • Update both the author and the content at the same time.
    • Save the post.
    • Preview the newsletter → the author is still incorrect.

    DOES NOT WORK
    The newsletter does not pull the correct author if the following happens

    • Edit an existing post.
    • Update the author
    • Save the post
    • Preview the newsletter → the author is still incorrect.

    DOES WORK
    The newsletter correctly pulls the author if the following happens

    • Create/Edit post.
    • Assign an author.
    • Save the post.
    • Edit the post again.
    • Add or update some content.
    • Save the post again.
    • Preview the newsletter → the correct author name is now displayed.
    • NOTE: This do not work in a newer version 4.0.2 if you have YOAST SEO plugin is active
