Nevermind, I fixed it!!
In case this helps anyone else using Laughing Squid:
I enabled raw logs in the control panel.
Then I went to the logs folder in my web directory to see the error log.
Looks like it was an issue with my password–case sensitive. MySql database passwords need one capital letter.
Also character issues with the unique keys–to experiment, I didn’t mess with them and it worked.
YAY!
