  • Here’s an update: after much hesitation I uninstalled WP Super Cache. Always thought of it as a great solution to speed up my site.

But since the arrival of PageSpeed Service, well…

Site loads and runs smoother without WP Super Cache. No stale cached pages show up and even though online speed tests suggest a slightly slower load speed, my impression is that Google PageSpeed alone is the better solution as everything is tweaked at one spot.

Maybe you have other experiences, but I’d say thumbs up to this CDN.

@gary So does it rather harm the site to run Google PageSpeed and WordPress Super Cache simultaneously?

You’re saying the site’s speed is increasing with PS alone, without WP Super Cache?

    @arccoordinator:

After many problems with Twitter Widget Pro I changed a few days ago to Really Simple Twitter Feed Widget as well. Works like a breeze, no more issues.

Thanks WPMUDEV for working on it.

I got the mentioned “Error posting to Smush.it” error and downgraded to 1.6.2

But the older version won’t allow to resmush images — this is the error code I get:

Automatic smushing has been disabled temporarily due to an error. Operation timed out after 20001 milliseconds with 0 bytes received.

Maybe in 1.6.5 you can make sure that these errors are automatically taken care of to smush older image files?

Again, many thanks for your splendid work.

Thanks jeseph, solves the problem for me, all seems to work fine again!

Same issue here. Consumer key and secret entered, cannot Authorize New Account…

    wp-cron.php didn’t seem to fire.

    Am on Bluehost.

    Added a cron job

    /usr/bin/php/XXX/XXXXX/public_html/wp-cron.php >/dev/null 2>&1

firing every ten minutes, seems to preload again.

I assume before this problem is solved, Marcel, I follow up here?

Am using WP Super Cache, but haven’t encountered this error before.

Recently updated in Apps Settings / Advanced everything to Enabled, with the exception of “Stream post URL security.”

May any of the “Enabled” cause a conflict?

The plugin just started working again, didn’t change any settings… are others OK as well?

    API usage:

    Used: 0
    Remaining: 150
    Limits reset in: 60 minutes

About scheduled posts I can report later.

Is there some sort of debug mode to give you better clues of why the plugin just stopped working a week ago? I guess you’ll get more and more error reports as time goes on.

Also here, plugin was working fine until a few days ago, now updates are stuck.

I guess it’s a plugin and not user issue because so many users report the same problem

Thanks very much Donncha for the feedback.

Thanks for getting back on this.

Yes, cache is enabled, set at 7 days.

I’m also using WP Super Cache.

Activating the plugin again today, main page was stalled.

Alternatively, I’m using Amazon Affiliate Link Localizer, a plugin not that polished as yours, but also not troublesome.

I’d really like to make your plugin work. Maybe it’s my template, who knows.

What other details you need to look into further? My site’s http://the.me
