@wpbloghost: Thanks for the links. Using those I have got what I wanted but am confused by the statement that you have made (and I also see on this link http://support.wordpress.com/post-vs-page/ under “How do I post to a page”) that you cannot post to a page.
How I posted to a page was by going to Settings -> Readings -> and then specifying my static page as the “Posts Page”. Now every thing that is posted by my authors goes to the Posts Page which is a static page. Which means that I *can* post to *a* static page.
That fixed what I was struggling with but still leaves me confused about this page-post relationship.
Anyhow.. thanks for the help.
Hello WpBlogHost,
Thanks for that reply.
Well, when an author logs on to my blog and selects “Add new Post”, where does he specify which page that post should go on? What if there were two pages on by blog that use the “DefaultTemplate” and are thereby classified as “Blog pages”. Then how does wordpress decide which page would the post go on?
Thanks a lot!
