We are having the same problem since two weeks ago. Our site suddenly started to download the gz file but only when access to Home Page. Weird thing is that my site works in 1 of 5 computers we tried. It also works fine in mobile. We deactivated WP Super Cache and the problem persist. Our server provided said it is not their problem.
