Hello Hossein,
Thank you for your message and for the clear suggestion! I hope you’re doing well.
This is a great idea—automatically setting a default expiration period (like 30 days) for selected CPTs will be very helpful for directory and classifieds sites.
We’ve added it to our roadmap and are planning to implement this feature in the near future.
Please keep an eye on plugin updates—you’ll see it in one of the upcoming releases.
Thanks again for the valuable feedback!
Kind regards,
Shahadat HossainThank you so much for your kind words and support! 😊
I’m really glad to hear you’re enjoying the plugin and that it’s working smoothly for you. Your feedback means a lot — it keeps me motivated to keep improving and adding value. Thanks again for taking the time to share your experience!Hi @pmcc1 ,
Apologies for the delayed response and thank you for your patience.
I’m sorry to hear you’ve been having issues with the plugin. Since it was previously working, this usually happens due to one of the following:
- Plugin or WordPress updates — sometimes updates change behavior.
- Caching — server or plugin caching may prevent the delete action from triggering.
- Date / Time settings — ensure your site’s timezone and post expiration date are correct.
- Plugin version — the latest plugin version (1.1.6) includes fixes related to class loading and scheduling.
Recommended steps:
- Update the plugin to the latest version.
- Clear all caches (browser, site, server).
- Test with a simple post set to expire soon.
- Temporarily deactivate other plugins that may interfere with scheduling.
If the issue continues, you can provide screenshots of your settings or enable WP_DEBUG to check for errors.
For security reasons, we cannot request login credentials in the forum, but we’ll guide you step by step using these troubleshooting steps.
Thank you again for using Auto Delete Post!
Best regards,
Shahadat HossainHi @philippvanberlekom and @opieti
