Hello – this problem has been resolved. It is not a problem with the theme but with the host itself. For more details check out my other thread:

In reply to: Displaying over 400 categoriesHi, for anyone else looking for an answer to this – i did it. Here is how:
First of all, zota marius is correct – you have to make changes in php.ini.
To access php.ini you have to follow this tutorial: https://my.bluehost.com/hosting/help/666To bypass the category limit, you must do what the tutorial says and increase the memory limit. I increased it to 256M and it works ! I also increased max_input_vars = 5000 just in case. The tutorial warns AGAINST increasing the limit past 128M tho – but it doesn’t say why. Hopefully this will not cause problems.

In reply to: Displaying over 400 categoriesI don’t think i have access to any INI file.
Here are the files in (what i think is) my root folder from my bluehost account:

In reply to: Displaying over 400 categoriesAh, i understand now. It is a security measure. I will change it tho. I need about 600-700 categories at most on my site. So it won’t be such a radical change.
Thank you for the explanation.
However, i couldn’t find the “php.ini” file – i ran a search through my site’s files on bluehost but it was not among the results. Am i looking in the wrong place ?
At 400 categories now. It stopped working on my phone & IE too… 🙁
I don’t know what i broke then, but i added the Relevanssi plugin and the search works even better than before – and with loads of other options too.
