Nevermind – resolved. discovered developer before us modified so on update, lost.
Same happened to me. Go to wordpress/settings/permalinks… Choose something different, then reload the site (front end) and see if that works. If this works, go back and change it back to what you had, wordpress will build the permalinks when you change it back.
