How do I get to the Administration screen? I have Posts, Media, Pages, Comments, etc as headings, but no Appearance, so I guess you mean somewhere else than the navigation bar, which I don’t know how to get to…

Ok, so from the above page…
It is recommended that you use the Site Icon feature, instead of following the guidance below. When you use it, you don’t need to prepare the favicon.ico file by yourself or modify your template file, just specifying square image that has at least 512 pixels wide and tall from Customizer screen.
I don’t know what the Site Icon feature is, and when I try to look it up, I get this, which doesn’t make any sense to me either:

Bear in mind I’m not familiar with the code aspects of WP and so if this needs me to use code, I’ll need instructions that take this into consideration.
