Thank you. As mentioned in the thread, we can’t give the site name or URL in a public forum – its surprising that people do, as you can click on the user account and see other questions posed which can then expose vulnerabilities. Grateful to have help on the open forum, just can’t send the URL this way.
Thank you this, it has removed the large margin, thanks:)
In answer to your previous query we’re using Hello Elementor theme, with Elementor addons, using post archives, post grid and carousel widgets.
I didn’t notice earlier that we can no longer change the text color, or color on hover. Previously we did this through addons.
Tried to adjust this instead with CSS, but I’m not having any luck. Could you please advice on where I need to change the code for this to work:
.pp-multiple-authors-boxes-ul {
color: #707070 !important;
}.pp-multiple-authors-boxes-ul a:hover {
color: #43BCC4 !important;

In reply to: Delete tmp file, folders unknownThat’s great thank you. Apologies, I wasn’t sure if it would go to WordPress or not, as I didn’t know if the WordPress software creates them. Thanks again for your help.

In reply to: CMS outdated on live site, but not on stageJust found that WordPress is causing the jQuery Migrate warning regarding version update. WordPress is currently using 3.4.0 and the latest is 3.4.1 I’m guessing this will update soon though, and it’s not much behind. Still unsure on Core-js and smartmenus though
Hi @devmich,
Apologies for the delay. It seems to no longer be showing, wondering if there was a delay from Google’s end.
Checked our plugins and theme just in case and no google analytics or code snippet. Going to place this as one of those things that fixes itself.
Thanks again and for your offer of help.

In reply to: CMS outdated on live site, but not on stageThanks for you response. Sadly not, the company was recommended through a third-party to test whether there are any vulnerabilities, GDPR and PCI compliance. It flagged PCI and said there was a problem with CMS and then just stated that the following was out of date: Core-js, jQuery Migrate, Font-awesome, Smartmenus with no URLs to find them by.
It was by luck I found font-awesome, but can’t find the others and wondered if anyone knew how I would narrow this down? I’m currently up to date with all plugins and WordPress version.
Hi@stevejburge
I think there has been some misunderstanding, not looking for support outside of the WordPress forum.
Just don’t want to state our website as it can then be linked to this user account and let other people see the questions we raise, which might in turn show vulnerabilities.
Could you please offer any guidance from the img? Regarding the sudden gap before author name? Or can I send you the site name without it being shown on the forum, but receive guidance through the forum?
Thank you for your message. I can email the site address across to your pre-sales team?
I would be uncomfortable sharing the site URL on an open forum, as this opens us up for malicious attacks. For attackers can do a search request, connect the site to the username and see any questions you ask on WordPress Forums that can indicate a vulnerability. Hope this make sense.
Really appreciate you replying and offering support, and happy to talk on the forum, just hesitant about sharing the organisation name.

In reply to: Archive Category Pages vs Pages for SEOHi @threadi
Sometimes the simple solution is the one overlooked, in this case I completely missed it was under the editing of posts – category – edit – go to the bottom. Thank you.
In case it helps anyone else, who has blindly missed this. When you add a new category – Yoast doesn’t show. However, after you have created the post, if you then hit edit and go to the bottom, Yoast will then be present with all the options of keywords, meta description etc.
I made the mistake of looking in templates, pages and not knowing that after you create a category you can then hit edit and be presented with more options.

In reply to: [Code Snippets] GDPR ComplianceThat’s great, thank you. Didn’t think you would, but have to record that we confirmed it.
Additionally thank you about any code we use.
Your plugin is awesome by the way.

In reply to: Archive Category Pages vs Pages for SEOHi @threadi
Thank you for this article. It’s a great article covering the hierarchy of category pages, and largely relates to e-commerce sites. But in this case it’s not a product category site.
My question was more to do with category archive descriptions for search engine results. The article linked to makes no mention of meta descriptions.
I mentioned Yoast merely for the context of what plugin we use for SEO, but it could be any search engine plugin.
I wondered if anyone has had any experience on what to do with meta descriptions/descriptions for individual category archives e.g. art, books, science, history, etc in relation to search engine results.
Has someone created them as pages so as to do meta descriptions for each one? Or instead found a way to somehow insert a meta description for archive category pages?

Hi @maybellyne
Thank you for your email. Would I be correct in understanding that if Usage Tracking is off, you don’t collect data anywhere else through the use of the plugin?
That’s fantastic, thank you.
