yes, sorry I had to resolve it so I built a new site from scratch. I wish i knew how to fix this problem because it seems to be a frequent one. One time I upgraded and it happened so i replaced all the files with a backup copy and had the same problem. Anyway, thanks for your reply. I will ask when it happens again and leave it up so I can learn the fix.
