thanks for the reply!! I think having the 2 caches was the problem. I’ll stick with the hosting cache for the moment and do some testing with AO in the staging server

I’ve since removed the plugin and purged the cache varnish on cloudways – and all is working. This seems to have been corrupted between the hosting cache and the plugin cache, deleting the AO cache corrupted the site as the existing hosting cache was not in sync.
