In reply to: [Speed Booster Pack ⚡ PageSpeed Optimization Suite] Missing Disable XML-RPCHi @markva!
Our users tend to click all the boxes without reading about the features, which resulted in connection losses with services that use XML-RPC (like Jetpack), thus blaming us for it. While disabling XML-RPC speeds up a website on certain casees, it’s mostly a security-related function so in version 3.8.1, we removed it.
If you want to disable the XML-RPC protocol, I can recommend that you install the following plugin:
Thanks for the heads-up @kevinvanscheijndel! 🙂 We really appreciate our users informing us (and other users) about compatibility issues.
In fact, we’re about to release a new version that warns about these incompatibilities. We divided the settings into two sections (same tabs: General and Advanced) but changed the placements of the settings and the new version will have a warning about the Advanced options which could potentially cause conflicts.
For now, you can try disabling the following options in SBP:
– Move scripts to footer
– Defer parsing of JS files
– Inline all CSSObviously, it’s not possible for us to handle every single plugin & theme in the WordPress ecosystem, but our roadmap already has items to make Speed Booster Pack more compatible with the most popular plugins & themes. With your warning, we added Divi to our list.
If you’re interested in our speed optimization services over at optimocha.com, we’d like to offer you a discount as a thank-you gift :).

In reply to: [Speed Booster Pack ⚡ PageSpeed Optimization Suite] Images disappearing@alison26 all right then 🙂 We’re even thinking of making a dashboard-like interface in the settings page that shows the latest updates in the plugin’s changelog, so it’ll be easier to track what’s new.

In reply to: [Speed Booster Pack ⚡ PageSpeed Optimization Suite] Images disappearing@alison26 that should be it – Speed Booster Pack conflicts with SG Optimizer and we’re working on the compatibility but right now, it’s better you disable the Defer JS parsing option.

In reply to: [Speed Booster Pack ⚡ PageSpeed Optimization Suite] Images disappearing@syntaxc can you send me the website? If you leave it broken, maybe I can see what’s causing the error by checking the error console.

In reply to: [Speed Booster Pack ⚡ PageSpeed Optimization Suite] Images disappearingUnderstood. Granted, the plugin needs much work and after we (as Optimocha) acquired the plugin, we started working with a PHP developer for fixing all the stuff. In fact, a complete rewrite is also on the table! 🙂 But all in all, it’s not a half bad plugin – hopefully it’ll get better and better each month (we’re thinking two updates each month).
Again, sorry for the issues. If you ever want to help us out, you can reach us on https://optimocha.com/contact/ so we can get to know the issues you’ve encountered before. Totally optional, obviously.
Also, to compensate your frustration (if we ever can), I can offer discounts on our speed tailored optimization services.
Gotcha, sorry for the issues. Last question then: Did the issues start happening after the latest release or since an earlier release?
Hi @djenk;
Can you try turning off the “Move scripts to footer” option on SBP settings, and try again? Sorry for that to happen, but it’s actually a bug we fixed that caused another bug (possibly due to a clash with other performance-related plugins).
Also, we can help you by logging in as admin if you create a user for us. We can continue the conversation here if you’d like to get to the bottom of this issue: https://optimocha.com/contact/
Hello @cervezadevida,
Are you using any other speed-related plugins in your website?
Thanks for sending this bug report @sonnylabayna! 🙂 Even though it’s not an error (like @mbrsolution said), it still needs to be fixed and we’re going to do it on the next release.
Hi @dk5ew,
It’s possible that you’ve got another performance-related plugin that’s clashing with SBP. Can you get in touch with us so we can help you out?
