I’m not sure what you mean by secure sign on feature.
I’m only using the Jetpack app on iPhone to sign in.
I don’t have the plugin installed on my self hosted wordpress site.
it’s due to two factor authentication under settings-features-login security
- Does it help if you clear the Jetpack app’s cache and possibly remove the link to your site and link again? -> No it doesn’t. I cannot link since I can’t sign in due to xmlrpc error
- Allowing Default Access to the REST API in Security> Settings > Features > Advanced > WordPress Tweaks -> this setting was already done
- Adding Jetpack’s IP addresses to the Authorized IPs list in Security > Settings > Global Settings -> this would be my home address, since I was trying this at home. and my home ip address is already authorized/whitelisted
- Disabling the Default Ban List in Security > Settings > Features > Firewall > Ban Users – Default Ban List -> this is already disabled by default.
- Disabling the Disable PHP in Plugins in Security > Settings > Features > Advanced > System Tweaks – PHP Execution -> This is also already unchecked.
The only other reason I can think of is I’m using the “hide backend?”<- confirmed this wasn’t the reason. Now it’s username/password is wrong. but if I disable solid security, i can sign in with the exact same login credentials
