my pages on hostgator crashed too.
My solution:
enter via FTP to wp-content/plugins
rename “wp-optimize” folder to “wp-optimize.hold”
with this you can enter the Admin of your page, update the plugin
Go back to FTP and rename the folder to “wp-optimize”
on your plugins page it will appear as deactivated, activate it and test it.
This worked for me, I’m not a professional website builder and I was able to fix it in 5 minutes.`
