In reply to: wordpress show no CSS on internal lookups and..Sorry for my late response..
I have done the deactivating for plugins by deleting them through cli and it didn’t work.. remember i don’t have wp-admin access since thats the problem..
by deleting the content of the plugins folder i would guess i have also reset it 🙂
I haven’t tried reuploading or changing the theme..
But i do have access from outside the webpage.. its only local it doesn’t work.. I’m hosting my own wordpress server thats why im talking about local and external access to it..

In reply to: some browsers doesn't load CSS contentok i know what the problem is…
my site is created like this
http://172.16.99.243
and managed by http://172.16.99.243/wp-adminso when you visit the site it referes to alot of internal ip address which you don’t have access too…
i know how to change all the page references but how do i change the URL in itself? right now the URL is http://172.16.99.243
I need to change it to http://dingit.dk
anyone knows how to do that? its a wordpress single installation
Thanks Casper

In reply to: some browsers doesn't load CSS contentit does load from a clients server… so my site should work outside my network.. thats the problem..
ooops sorry for not setting the post as resovled.. didn’t know i could or had to do that 🙂
I did get to log into my wordpress install and i did get to activate customizr.. the problem was that no matter what i did it kept showing “it works” and that was because it loaded index.html first and not index.php..
ok i solved my problem..
I was following this guide:
https://www.digitalocean.com/community/articles/how-to-install-wordpress-on-ubuntu-12-04
what I didn’t notice was the first comment to this guide..
apparently the apache server is not set to look for index.php but index.html as the first site.. so no matter what i did of changes in wordpress that would affect index.php was the site never loaded..
changing apache so that it looks for index.php first and NOT index.html solved my issue..
please look for the first comment in the guide for details as how to do it..
thanks for your help
Hi Mika,
Thanks for your input.. I have come to the conclution that i must take the bull by the horns and do a manual copy paste … I need to get this going .. but i’m having a problem with the customizr theme on my new single install wordpress server which i have going on the customizr forum… apparently god is not done punishing me 🙂
for now yes but it’s my intention that it should host http://www.dingit.dk when I have migrated it all and i know its all up and running..
didn’t help.. but thanks for the suggestion…
are there any steps i need to do prior to start using themes?
I mean from when you buy a wordpress site somewhere.. to adding a theme.. are there any steps to be done in configurernig wordpress that I may not have done..
bear in mind this is my second wordpress installation that act this way.. I tried to reinstall the server to see if that made a difference.. but it didnt…
yes this is fresh install of wordpress single instancen where the only thing i have done is to add the customizr theme.. and it doesn’t seem to work…
its because my wordpress server is currently located on my local network which is 192.168.1.0/24 and not public..yet 🙂
yes this is single instance total new install.. and it does this.. why im so puzzled and figured maybe it was because of the wordpress version.. afterall it was released not long ago…
I tried the export import thing and that didn’t go well i either so I figured i might aswell just do it the hard way and learn a hard lesson :).. and than this.. god this is just killing me :)..
as for the plugin suggestion.. shouldn’t this theme work from a basic install? cause adding the theme was the first thing i did after i had installed wordpress..
Thanks for answering!
any idea why im having problems than?
symptoms..
adding theme and activating doesn’t affect root site like http://192.168.1.243
it keeps show the apache default “it works”
also when i go to customize the theme i can see the left menu where i can choose what to customize but the right windows where the changes would show are blank.. ?
