Thank you for the reply. I did figure out that opportuntities sort by event date. My goal/need/desire/want is create individual event pages that display the various one-time opportunities for that single event. In essence a unqiue post loop that is filtered on either the event date or location.

I would create a landing page for volunteer event needs like this one we have to get event registrations built using the EVENTER plugin:
https://imhookedinc.org/upcoming-events-im-hooked-inc/

And then each event listing would take a user to an event page hgilighting the unique one-time volunteer needs for that event. Organiozationally it would look something like this:
