I’ve had exactly the same problem of the buttons flashing and not being able to use the uploader, but after following ZeusII’s instructions carefully and reinstalling everything, it seems to work great now…

I have the same problem. The “Save” and “Publish” buttons are dark and sometimes flashing, but do not seem to react when pressed. I really hope there will be a fix for this soon, since it is impossible to update my blog now.. ;-(
I just upgraded to 2.5.1 and have exactly the same problem.
The moving progress circle on the top of the Firefox tab stops moving and nothing happens. I’ve tried upgrading Flash, entering the code into htaccess but it didn’t change anything.
My “Save” and “Publish” buttons are flickering as well.
Anyone got an idea? Thanks in advance:-)
