No doubt your plugin is not the root cause, but this issue started the moment I added it. Might you suggest, and I understand if you don’t know, some robust WP Recent Posts plugins that you have worked with well? My stock one may not be up for it.

Most of my posts go directly to an outbound link. When they are on the regular home page, people can click on one of two things. Either A) the headline, which takes them directly to the outbound link or B), the comment section.

New posts also go into the Recent Post widget, which I parked and hid for now at the bottom because of this glitch.

As you can see, there is no longer the choice to click on both the headline and the comments. Instead, the headline click goes to a redirect page.

My goal is to make all recent posts automatically go the outbound link if there is one.
Does that make sense? Any feedback would be most appreciated.
