Meanwhile, after receiving a very helpful email from a person at WordPress (over the weekend, even!)I did learn that I was confusing the different terms, as you mention here.

I will keep the link to the resource you provided and re-read. Think I’m starting to understand, but guess it takes a while.

Sure enough, I did find out I have a limit (they said I can go up to 128M).

But I don’t have a php.ini file. Checked everywhere, but no php.ini

How do I create one?
