what I did is, I created a backup and removed the installation. I reinstalled wp, now I want to restore stuff, but there is an error stating that access to database is denied. and showing password used is “YES”. which is of course not the password of my DB.
Please sort this.

I did uninstall and now reinstalled WordPress.
the previous problem is sorted. i have taken the backup of my previous site as .zip file.
now please tell me how to use the backup to get back the site as it was earlier.

I checked in a different browser. I also tried to login via different PC. still the problem persists.
I am not a techie, so please help me in step by step procedures to the other solution you mentioned.

it is not showing any error message. It is simply not redirecting to the next page.
