I get the following:
Upgrade Plugin
Downloading update from http://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/woopra.1.4.2.zip.
Download failed. connect() timed out!
I haven’t changed anything on my blog or added any new plug-ins. I’ve successfully used automatic upgrade before without problems. In all other respects the blog is fine, the dashboard looks OK, etc. etc.
If I follow the link I get a file not found error, so it could be that for some reason WordPress thinks there is a plugin upgrade available when in fact there isn’t. If that is the case, any idea who to reset the dashboard plugin count?
Am very puzzled.
I have exactly the same problem. Everything was working fine. I threw the Google Analytics code into a text widget, hit save, went to my blog and all the widgets had gone (I was using Atahualpa with 2 widgets on the left and four on the right).
Now if I add it widget (to any theme) it appears on the dashboard, but as soon as I hit Save the dashboard refreshes and the widget vanishes.
Anyone know where the widgets are stored? Is it in the DB?
