I deleted them from my wp>content>themes but they’re still showing on the themes page

I went into the server side and saw that there was something dated 12-27-13 on the index.php file. I have not been able to do anything with this blog since maybe September/October so this confuses me. I opened the file and it had a bunch of code ending with this. I don’t know what this is:

    ?><?php
    // Silence is golden.
    ?>

It came with the WordPress. I didn’t put a debug on the blog because I don’t know how to use it without potentially breaking something. I tried to visit the developer site but my MacTop blocked the site as dangerous. It’s this one:

    WP-Debug
    Deactivate | Edit

Allows WordPress debugging through the Krumo application. Visit the Krumo documentation for more information.

I reactivated the debug plugin and deactivated everything else. I’m still getting this beneath the footer:

I deactivated the plugin and it went away but I don’t know if this plugin is needed or not.

I’ve thought about changing templates to something that is “responsive” at least I think that’s the right word for templates that morph for mobile devices. I’ll disable the plugins and see what happens. If that doesn’t help, I’ll change templates and leave the plugins disabled to see what happens.

Thank you! I’m going round and round in circles on wp.com and I can’t even find my original question any more. All I can get from the help pages is that the domain needs mapped but these are both self hosted blogs and I don’t even know how the tlcoffeywrites ended up there

    Thread Starter NfiniteT

    (@nfinitet)

I have. They aren’t responding. I checked everything and within the admin on wordpress.com and in Settings>Public Profile it shows both blogs. However, only tlcoffeywrites and a defunct blog are showing up on the “My Blogs” page. If no one here has any idea what to do, I’ll try to wait patiently for .com to respond.

It says alchemicalwords is connected to wordpress.com but it’s not showing up in the owner/admin of wordpress.com
    area with tlcoffeywrites

I’m confused. Both tlcoffeywrites and alchemicalwords both have Jetpack activated within each blog

I missed one. I deleted it and the site’s back. I don’t understand why I’m having problem with G+ plugins on this site. I installed one on another blog and it works fine. The same plugin crashed this site. ???

I messaged my web host and told them what was happening. Five minutes later, they messaged me back and said they fixed it. I don’t know what happened or why but they fixed it and evidently, it was an easy fix. I can access everything and it’s even running the rotating tweets 🙂

    Thread Starter NfiniteT

    (@nfinitet)

The rotator disappeared again. One thing I’ve noticed is that when the widget is placed in the side bar, everything below it disappears too. I have this widget set up on another blog using the identical template and the other blog isn’t having the issue of a disappearing rotator.

I’ve deleted it and I’m going to try installing it directly through my Plesk control panel to see if that works.

It’s working now. I just went in and redid the Twitter codes again. I don’t know why it made any difference. It was the same codes that were there originally. The mysteries of the internet, I guess.

Maybe if I delete from the server then re-install it? Delete all the Twitter app things and redo it from scratch? I don’t know what’s going on. It was working yesterday then disappeared. Could it be a conflict with another widget or plugin?
