    Hi Daniel,

    Thank you for the reply.

    I do need to make sure even though the free version performs a duplicate check for all users (both anonymous and logged in ), I can still allow logged-in users to rate again x hours every time after they rate based on the number of hours I set in the Settings, is that correct?

    Also, the shortcodes on the pages you linked me to does not show one to place rating form on a specific post category only, or display result list for one specific post category only. So that means that’re not available?

    Thank you.

    Settings -> Pages –> Location Pages –> Enable comments, after ticking Yes, comment failed to appear on single location page. The comment we see at the bottom of a standard single post page

    It has not appeared for almost about a week or so then 2 days ago it suddenly showed up. I had no idea why for I’ve since gave up on that and had not done anything about it.

    But thank you for asking.

    Thank you for the reply.

    I also just encountered another problem. I don’t think it’s possible to solve it but I’ll share it with you.

    When a member create a post via the WP User Frontend under the profile category, it is meant to create a profile for this member. This is a business profile in the form of a post separated from the buddypress profile that they created when signing up my website. The problem is when they created this business profile post page, the star rating was tagged along in the post and after the post is published, they can rate this post page as well, which means they are rating their own business profile. That is the problem – that are not supposedly to be able to rate themselves.

    Do you have a solution for that? Thank you.

    Hi angelo,

    Thank you for the reply.

    I apologize that I’m not a developer so this is hard for me.

    I did read the how to use template page.

    I don’t understand what you mean by

    “try to add location details from templates/forms/location-editor.php to templates/forms/event/location.php”

    I opened both files but can you please advise from which line # to which line # of which file I should copy from then paste onto which line # of which file ?

    Regarding your example:
    wp-content/themes/Your Theme/plugins/events-manager/forms/event/location.php

    When I went to wp-content/themes/my Theme, there is no plugins folder there. Even if there is, I work on my child theme so according to the how to use template page, if I copy and paste anything to my parent theme files, will they be wiped out when my theme updates?

    Last, can you please advise why comment won’t show up after I ticking Yes in Settings? Is that part of the template ?

    Thank you.

    Understood.

    I don’t know if it is appropriate to ask this on this forum, but when I, and if I, will get to the point when I need to get this customization done, do i just purchase your pro version then contact your tech support? Or is there other way i should / can follow for this particular customization? Thank you.

    Thank you for the info.

    It looks like it’s something beyond my capability since I don’t know codes. And I should leave it for when I really needs it done. But I just want to make sure we are on the same page, that is when you said,

    “This can’t be done out-of-the-box, but it should be possible to create a custom template for that form that checks if the user is logged in and shows a different version.”

    I just want to clarify both forms are for members, except one of them is for members who paid as a member. The other one is for those who paid as an outsider, who will then become a member of a different kind after signing up and paid. So whether or not a members is logged-in does not seem to differentiate the two, in my straightforward logic reasoning. I apologize if I’m confusing you. But communications are meant to clarify things.

    Thank you.

    Sorry that I forgot to ask you one question. It’s for future reference, not now.

    If I have the pro version of the plugin, can it do the following:

    Have 2 different “Add an Event” form,

    Form One is for my registered members (I use Buddypress for their profiles). I need to

    – hide or remove all of the Reject | Delete | Edit/view on all of the Bookings pages, and
    – hide or remove “Manage my bookings” on the bottom of a single event page next to “You’re currently attending this event.”
    – Hide price
    – Hide personal info of the member who reserved a space under booking section (because it contains their personal email address)

    Form Two is only for members who paid. This one needs to

    – hide or remove all of the Reject | Delete | Edit/view on all of the Bookings pages, and
    – hide or remove “Manage my bookings” on the bottom of a single event page next to “You’re currently attending this event.”

    And if it can indeed allow more than one “Add an Event” form, can it allow 3 or more forms?

    This is just a heads-up for myself to see what options are possible for me with this plugin.

    Thank you.

    I changed the order of the trouble-making option then moved it back to where it belongs and I tested all 18 different combinations of these 2 keys 9 (6 and 3) options altogether. And I did that 3 times and this time they all worked properly and nothing went wrong.

    I was tempted to add a 3rd key just to experiment and test to make sure this perfect working order is permanent, but was afraid that would unnecessarily break its status quo. So I dropped the idea. (Is it necessary, though?)

    If this positive change is permanent, I’d like to thank you for all your time and help in the past 1+ week. It’s been quite a journey since this is a fairly heavy-duty (meaning comprehensive and thorough) plugin.

    Couldn’t have done this without you.

    Thank you.

    I just pasted both sets of codes to pastein so it will be easier to read them.

    Thank you. Yes, after removing the beginning bit, they do work now. Thank you.

    I’ve been working on Attributes since yesterday. I had 2 keys and each has several options:

    #_ATT{Do attendees need to spend money?}{* This is a totally free event.|* To spend money or not is entirely up to the attendee. No one will be turned down or judged upon for lack of funds|* You need to spend under $5|* You need to spend $5 - 10|* You need to spend  $10 - 20|* You need to spend over $20}

    #_ATT{Is RSVP required?}{* No RSVP required but preferred to make this event better for everyone. Questions are welcome.|* No RSVP required|* RSVP required}

    And the codes in the Single event page are

    <div style="float:right; margin:0px 0px 15px 15px;">#_LOCATIONMAP</div>
    <p>
    	<strong>Date/Time</strong><br/>
    	Date(s) - #_EVENTDATES<br /><i>#_EVENTTIMES</i>
    </p>
    {has_location}
    <p>
    	<strong>Location</strong><br/>
    	#_LOCATIONLINK
    </p>
    {/has_location}
    <p>
    	<strong>Categories</strong>
    	#_CATEGORIES
    </p>
    <br style="clear:both" />
    #_EVENTNOTES

    <p>
    <td>
    #_ATT{Do attendees need to spend money?}{* This is a totally free event.|* To spend money or not is entirely up to the attendee. No one will be turned down or judged upon for lack of funds|* You need to spend under $5|* You need to spend $5 - 10|* You need to spend $10 - 20|* You need to spend over $20}<br/>

    #_ATT{Is RSVP required?}{* No RSVP required but preferred to make this event better for everyone. Questions are welcome.|* No RSVP required|* RSVP required}
    </td>
    </p>

    {has_bookings}
    <h3>Bookings</h3>
    #_BOOKINGFORM
    {/has_bookings}

    There are 6 options for key 1 and 3 for key 2.

    Don’t know why but when I select option 5 (* You need to spend $10 – 20) for key 1, it always came out option 1 (* This is a totally free event.) on the single event page.

    So I deleted them and redid everything several times but always there would be one option went wrong. The most common problem is when selecting the one option that’s causing problem, on the event page it showed all the options under that key, instead of only the one option I selected.

    So is there anything wrong in the codes I used above?

    Thank you again.

    Hi, thank you so much for the calendar codes. They worked like a charm. I really appreciate it.

    Regarding the 2 sets of codes you pasted on pastein for ticketing options, I tried and pasted them onto my child theme functions.php but both brought down the site. Then I tried to paste them into the parent theme functions.php with the same result.

    It was never my intention to offend you or make you feel the way you do.

    I apologize if I wound up doing that.

    The login info was given because some of the issues i described in my previous message would require user to be logged in in order to see those links on the screen. Maybe as a developer, you know how to get to that without being logged-in. Being a non-developer and a newbie, I have no idea.

    I just tried to delete that message but it does not seem I can delete it now.

    I apologize.

    I’ve been working on this site for a very long time entirely on my pc but this is my very first website. The first 2 days after I signed up a hosting plan and had the site up with only a few plugins installed and nothing else, I received 90+ login attempts from the web. Out of horror, I immediately hid it.

    I tried to hide it as possible as I can because that’s the way I instinctively feel comfortable and safe doing.

    I have just un-hid it, so it’s now an open site.

    I just re-read the welcome page and I think, and hope, it is legal for me to post my url here

    http://loveandolive.org/

    Thank you for the pastebin codes. Not being techie, I don’t know how to do that and I don’t want to mess anything up in the process.

    If there anything i do in this message is inappropriate and / or offend you, please kindly correct.

    I’ll try to correct it accordingly, wherever I can.

    Best regards

    just a friendly reminder, in the previous message with details of what I need to do with the plugin, under 1) I mentioned I created 2 events for June 17 and 18. To make sure these events will still remain in the calendar by the time you look at them, I extended these 2 events to June 17 – 30 and June 18 – 30 respectively.

    Also under 2) I mentioned to remove the Bookings in the Bookings– booked: 2/10. If we can remove all of the Reject | Delete | Edit/view in all of the Bookings pages, then we can keep the Bookings in the Bookings– booked: 2/10.

    Thank you.

    Have a nice weekend.

    Best regards
