Yes Alex, you are absolutely right ! , its a conflict from a plugin i installed called Assets minify, http://wordpress.org/plugins/assetsminify/
Deleted the plugin and the icons appear now !!
Thanks for your help ! much appreciated !, and by the way, this is one of the most awesome premium level theme that i have come across in WordPress so far ! Thank You for making it freely available
