Hi, thanks Tara, I got to the root of the problem in the end with the help of my host. The .htaccess file was corrupted. A fresh install of WordPress should sort it out. Thanks for your help.
I have exactly the same problem, run several sites on WordPress and all are working fine, except one where this error keeps coming up. Thank you for your input tbennettcc, I totally agree with you! Hopefully, there will someone out there who has come across this problem before. I’m also in contact with my host who are trying to figure out what’s gone wrong, too. Fingers crossed.
