Still haven’t figured out what the problem is, other than noting that even when trying out the different color schemes built in to the Admired theme, there is still no background showing in the footer. This indicates to me that it is not a simple matter of changing the color, but something else which is not letting the background color itself (whatever it is) show up.

Does anybody have any ideas? Would be much appreciated.

Unfortunately I’ve had zero success finding a fix for this. Does anybody have any ideas?

Thank you for your reply. Though I am far from a proficient coder (makes sense, right? Why else would I be inquiring here?), I can say that:

    1. It’s nowhere in the theme options.
    2. I am wondering if its not as simple as simply changing the color, which would have no reason to change on its own.

As evidence of this, I played around with the theme’s built-in color schemes. Each color scheme I tried had the same problem, namely, the footer no longer appears with the same background color as the header.

To my non-expert mind, this tells me it’s not a simple problem of changing the color, but something with the footer background itself.

Is it possible that some coding standard used on my site was “deprecated” by major browsers, causing the footer background to no longer appear? Again, without knowing too much about coding or standards, I suspect it’s something like that, and I’ve got no idea what to try.

I can post code if that helps. Thanks.
