This is generally due to padding added by your theme and there is usually an option to remove it using the WordPress theme customizer.
From your WordPress dashboard menu, go to Appearance > Customize.
Click Customize on the relevant theme and look for an option that controls this.
This option is not available in all themes. You may need to check with your theme’s support or documentation.
