Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: Remove posted on/in Twentey ElevenOk, so I found that Template: twentyeleven does need to be added to the header.
Please forgive my ignorance as I am completely new to this.My problem now is that I’ve created a child theme and imported the parent theme in an example to later make only one or two changes. When I select it in my Themes menu for a live preview it looks identical to my site with the parent theme. However, when I activate the child theme I appear to lose a great deal of formating. Why is this?

In reply to: Remove posted on/in Twentey ElevenIn the following: http://codex.wordpress.org/Child_Themes
Under the example of a child theme’s header in the new style.css They state that the Template: tewntyeleven is required to refer back to the parent directory. However, The parent text in 3.4.2 doesn’t show a “Template:” field just a Text Domain: twentyeleven. Is this just the updated field for Template or do I need to seperately create a Template: field?Forum: Themes and Templates

In reply to: Remove posted on/in Twentey ElevenI’m not quite sure how creating a child theme will solve this?
Shouldn’t there be a line of code I can just remove?
I did search the forum and was unable to find anything for Twenty Eleven, just for Twenty Ten and other themes.
