  • Hi, Essential Blocks is not a default plugin that comes with WordPress 7.0.2. It looks like your hosting provider added it through their 1-click WordPress installer.

You don’t need Essential Blocks to use the WordPress Block Editor. The Block Editor is already included with WordPress, and you can create pages from Pages → Add New and use the normal WordPress blocks there.

I would first try to deactivate and remove Essential Blocks, then check the Block Editor again. You don’t need to reinstall the whole website unless the installation is already new and you have nothing important on it.

Also, the “Could not copy file” error when installing Gutenberg Blocks may be a separate hosting/file permission issue. If you still get that error after removing Essential Blocks, I would check the file permissions, available disk space, and your hosting configuration.

If you are just starting with WordPress blocks, I would recommend trying the native Block Editor first before installing another block plugin. It will be much easier to understand what WordPress provides by default.

Hi, I think this can also happen because of the hosting configuration or a conflict with the theme or plugins.

I have faced similar issues before. Sometimes after a WordPress update, the PHP version, memory limit, or other hosting settings can cause problems with Elementor.

Also, if you are using a modified or unofficial theme/plugin, it can sometimes create conflicts after an update. I would suggest checking that as well.

You can also clear all cache, including the WordPress/plugin cache, server cache, Cloudflare cache, and browser cache.

If the problem is still there, try changing to a default WordPress theme and test the page again. This can help identify if the theme is causing the problem.

If you want, you can also share your PHP version and the error from the PHP/server log. That may help to find the exact cause.
