In reply to: Pure HTML as homepageesmi, we are simply having a conversation about a free and open-source theme, which is built by the exact same values and beliefs as WordPress itself.
Code is Poetry.
However, I will respect the rules.

In reply to: Pure HTML as homepageThat is right Senff, only ‘Hello’ and the file is located in the shoestrap theme folder. I have asked for assistance on their forums for a solution. Anyhow, do you have any ideas?

In reply to: Pure HTML as homepageThe front-page.php did display content on the front page, however the navbar and footer didn’t disappear. So my problem is rather how to remove the navbar and footer on the front page.

In reply to: Pure HTML as homepageI have 6 years of coding experience: C#, C, C++, HTML, PHP and Javascript. I am also know the logic behind creating a HTML page and adding a link to my other pages, but I don’t know how to use a HTML page as the front page in WordPress.

In reply to: Pure HTML as homepageYes this was my initial question. How do I create a entirely static page in html and use it as the front page? Not using the template method, as it does not work – and I don’t want to code the page in the text editor in WP. I just want to load a .html file whenever I navigate to the x.com/ page.

In reply to: Pure HTML as homepageI am using WordPress because of the blogging capabilities and the easy use of custom post types. And the reason the navbar and footer shouldnt be on the shared front page, is because the two websites are different (dep2.company.com/ and company.com/home) and therefor shouldnt be branded to either of them.
My theme, ShoeStrap, works in a different way than most themes. I guess I will have to ask them.

In reply to: CPT, breadcrumbs and pagesI have asked on their forum, but I think this is a more general cpt question. Shouldn’t there be an easier way to take control over custom post types. As a CMS I think that this should be a no-brainer to include.
EDIT: I haven’t asked on the shoestrap forum.

In reply to: CPT, breadcrumbs and pagesHere is the link to my website: http://imponer.com/referanser/
This page is called ‘Referanser’, and when I click ‘Les mer’ (Read more) to get the individual pages the Breadcrumbs show Home > Tax > Person name, and not Home > Referanser > Person name. And as you can see the URL is correct.
Hope that is more clear 🙂 Thanks!
