The hosting provider reports that the permissions on the /tmp folder (and I’ve confirmed) is 755. This should allow the ability to create files in that directory, unless you are using a different id (and of course, the “why only sometimes” question still holds true).

Postman Deliveries (Success|Fail): 49 | 6I would have thought that if it was a permissions issue it would have occurred everytime this email was triggered, however, the offending email the other day was from a nightly backup which ran and generated the email just fine this morning.
I’ll check with my ISP to see if they have any logs, but it sure seems odd that it would have been directly a permissions error at the OS level.
You are correct that the /tmp folder is outside the web folder root.

If I disable it, the system behaves as expected, but when I re-enable it, the shipping doesn’t get updated.
Now to figure out how to get the extra fields I used WC Checkout Manager for without using the Plugin.Forum: Plugins

Yeah, I’m using Dreamhost for the web hosting, and things haven’t been the speediest lately.

You are correct. The logs were from an automatic backup.
I applied the 1.1.8 files and ran a manual backup. I’m now seeing in the last part of the log file…

FYI, the backup files are showing up with sizes of:
– uploads – 48Meg
– others – 3Meg
– db.gz.crypt – 0
– db.gz – >1Meg
– themes – 5Meg
– plugins – 20MegBTW. The version I tried this morning (Manual) was the latest version.
