Jacco: It was the data in the plugin_adsensem key that I was after, but if you don’t have it no problem. What I’d do now is go to Manage » Ad Units and then click on Network Settings for your Google ads. The network ID is probably blank? Copy your publisher ID from the Google AdSense pages and that should now work.
Also make sure that on the Ad Units page that one of the ads is checked under “DA” (default ad): it should do this automatically but just in case.
What version did you upgrade from by the way?
Find the table named options, and then look through for the key called plugin_adsensem
In that is the ad data – clear it and it will resolve the problem. But it would be great if you could take a copy and email it to me. That way I can find out what’s going wrong.
Much appreciated.
3.2.7 should solve all the problems above. If you’ve upgraded from v2 before and been left with a broken version, you can retry the upgrade by simply logging into your WordPress dashboard and adding ?adsensem-revert-db=2 at the end of the url in your browser. Hit return and settings will be reimported.
If you don’t want to do that, just check that you have your Google AdSense ID in Network Settings (an upgrade bug was wiping this). And re-add any widgets you were using. That should be problem solved: if you find any more please let me know. Thanks!
Little update: If anyone is getting errors like romo9 and you know how to access your database, can you send me the entry from your options table named “plugin_adsensem” – this stores your Ad database and with this I will (hopefully!) be able to recreate the problem and come up with a fix.
I can’t recreated this bug on my own system – although I know in *theory* what is causing the problem, I need to know why it’s arising.
Thanks!
You can email it to me here.
Jacco: The upgrade to 3.2.4 should solve the problem. It was a bug in the upgrade procedure from 2.5… to retry the upgrade simply log into your WordPress dashboard and add ?adsensem-revert-db=2 at the end of the url in your browser and hit return.
Alternatively you can open each ad in your Manage » Ad Units panel and resave them (resaving will correct the formatting).
Hope that helps, let me know if you have any problems.
Jacco: Have you upgraded to version 3.2.3? I have put a few fixes in although I’m still having difficulty tracking this bug down.
romo9: Is that error with 3.2.3? Again, I’m running the latest version on 2.5 fine so a bit confused. I will do further testing later and see if I get anywhere. Did you upgrade from an earlier version of AdSense Manager by any chance? It may be the cause of the problems.
Thanks for the feedback, it’s much appreciated.

In reply to: [Plugin: AdSense Manager] Plugin broke when I upgraded to 2.5Ok, I’ve submitted a ‘fix’ as 3.2.1 but I’m not sure it’s going to solve all the problems. Upgrading to the latest version works fine here but there is some weirdness (i.e. the Ads are listed in the widgets by their name only, rather than with ‘Ad #name’ as it *should* be) that suggests there have been bigger changes somewhere.
I’ll look into it over the next few days and see if I can find out what’s going on. Let me know if the latest version works for you.
Thanks again.

In reply to: Error upon installation of adsense-managermiom: Is it leaving the blank space with or without WP Cahce? I’d expect it with WP Cache but without it should now be nice and neat.
Are you wrapping the ad units in any HTML? (Using the HTML Before/After options)
Can you tell me your site url (or email me here) and I’ll have a look at what’s causing it on your site.
Thanks!

In reply to: Error on updatingJamfris: Thanks for the feedback. I didn’t realise people were still using a version *that* old 😉 The upgrade *should* work but there were some tweaks and changes 1.x > 2.x I’ll need to look at.
In the meantime I’ve release a 3.1.9 version which should allow you to “attempt” to upgrade and will at least clear the message.
Thanks for the feedback.

In reply to: AdSense Manager Breaks NextGEN GalleryShould be fixed now. Let me know how you get on!

In reply to: AdSense Manager Breaks NextGEN GalleryOverdriven: I’ve managed to fix it, but by removing a check which prevents loading the (massive) admin-functions class when not in the admin area. I’m going to have a look into it a little more over the next hour and see what I can come up with.
If I can’t get it working I’ll just release without the check 🙂
Thanks for the information, very helpful.

In reply to: What’s the pratical use?jonimueller: The post is about advanced category excluder plugin (you can see it in the tags at the top).
Unfortunately when people click to comment from the Extend/Plugins page, it doesn’t link back to the page & looks like people are being vague. From the user side it looks as though they are clearly commenting on the plugin.
binh: Afraid I can’t help, sorry. Hopefully the plugin author will spot the comment and get back to you 🙂
