In reply to: [Related Posts for WordPress] Presale Question – Plugin still working well?@barrykooij If you go to the WordPress Plugins portal, and search for ‘related posts’, your plug-in now comes up on the 2nd or 3rd page of results. It used to be the very top result. This is because WordPress punishes out-of-date plugins through search rank. There are unintended consequences to child neglect. You say you still care for your child, but the fact that you haven’t seen her/him for 2 years says otherwise. Anyway, I will stop squatting @vickistep ’s post, and sounding all negative. I’m mostly just sad to say farewell to the plugin that I’ve seen grow. Adieu!

In reply to: [Related Posts for WordPress] Presale Question – Plugin still working well?I’ve been a Premium user of ‘Related Posts for WordPress’ for 6 years I think. But as you pointed out, it hasn’t been updated in the last 2 years, and the Premium subscription being yearly, this means that I’ve been paying lately without nothing in return. This month, I’m moving away from ‘Related Posts for WordPress’. At this point, this plugin is like a car that has been gathering dust in a barn for 2 decades. Sure, you could buy it, and maybe you could get the engine to start (if you’re really lucky), but don’t expect to get a lot of milage out of it. Better invest in a serviced car. I’m personally moving to ‘Yet Another Related Posts Plugin (YARPP)’, which is actively updated and free (although price is not an object for me). I was actually on ‘YARPP’ before ‘Related Posts for WordPress’, but I switched thinking that Premium plugins are better serviced than Free ones. 6 years later, this turned out to be a mistake.
