In reply to: Upgrade the Upgrade Process?Nobody expects “bug free code” but they do expect not to have a hammer taken to their blog with so many show stopping bugs.

In reply to: Another compromised release?Well I am fairly sure that “someone bad” has not accessed the code as that gets posted. What I am sure of is that like version 2.5 the current 2.51 did not have testing and is not ready for a release as final code. At this point the developers do not seem to care what the end users think. And to be blunt WordPress 2.5x releases are nothing but sloppy workmanship. To that end I have been testing other possible software packages and will be replacing WordPress on a personal level and professional one (testing – as in checking for issues BEFORE going live.)

In reply to: Was 2.5 released too soon?Way too soon!

In reply to: Does it ever end?Just because one makes changes and calls it an update does not mean it will be a good update or that the community feels it is a step forward. WordPress 2.5 is a step back in many areas including the funtions and overall GUI.

In reply to: Visit site insists on opening in a new windowJust tried it on my test site and it did not open in a new windo or tab. Setting maybe?

In reply to: I don’t like the way 2.5 is goingJust loaded the current SVN version on my test site. So far it looks ok in the admin area. I think where some are commenting about the wasted space is because the window is larger than 1024. As for the fonts well they look a little odd having both the large (good for high resolutions resolution) and tiny fonts in the upper right. Definatly need to “theme” this out to correct it. My theme from version 2.3 seems to work so far.
