I have the same problem, or at least a similar one. I bet you that if the forums here were organized into subforums with specific categories, we would never have this problem of never being responded to. I blame not being answered on a sucky organization structure.

In reply to: how to add a sidebarI think your sidebar should be provided for in the theme. If you go to Appearances > Widgets, you should be able to drag a text widget into the sidebar. If you can’t do that, you should pick a different theme. I am assuming that the vast majority of themes support a “widget-ready”, widget-drag-and-drop sidebar.
Next time you post a question like this, please tell us what theme you are using. Also tell whether your blog is free and hosted by WordPress directly, or you are hosting your blog on a seperate server with which you have access to the files for your theme and site. Everything you need to know may depend upon that detail. Good luck.

I don’t use an mp3 player plugin. I host music on this file hosting site, stream it to MixPod, and place the code for the MixPod player in a text widget on the sidebar. I now have a MixPod mp3 player on my site. It works great, except for the fact that it (along with ALMOST any other mp3 player on a website) reloads every time you change pages or reload the page.
