Epsiloncool, thanks much!
This is a small thing, but I noticed that when the addon is activated, search result excerpts will not display certain characters (ex.: double quotation marks) and instead display HTML Entity numbers (ex.: “).

MichaelHi, Epsiloncool,
I just noticed that the Read More link is now working. Was that you or is it due to me uninstalling and re-installing WPFTS earlier today?
Regards,
MichaelHi, Epsiloncool,
I apologize for the delay. Thanks much for your willingness to assist!
I sent you an e-mail.
Regards,
MichaelThat worked for me! Thanks so much for the assistance, Epsiloncool!
If in the future I find the cause for the “Read More” error and this support string is still open, I will post the solution.
With appreciation,
MichaelWow, Epsiloncool, thanks!
Actually, I used the theme settings (as specified in my initial post above) to modify the ‘Read More’ link text. I changed it to “Read More”, but it did not help–the link still does not appear.
In case I am unable to get it to work, could you please specify what Smart Excerpts CSS coding would allow me to specify the link color of the results display heading?
Thanks,
MichaelThanks for the fast reply, Epsiloncool,
The theme can be downloaded at-
https://wordpress.org/themes/ascend/
–and my version is the free version, and is up to date.I apologize, but where can I send the screenshot images?
Thanks,

In reply to: [Highlight Search Terms] Removing Highlighting From Post-Page-Menu URLsHi, Ravan, thank you for replying!
Yes. From the home page, for example, when I search (search field on right side of heading) for “contact” and then click through to the post page, the menu links have all been modified with:
/?hilite=’contact’One thing I tried (but it did not help) was editing “highlight-search-terms/hlst.php” as follows, starting on line 57:
static $areas = array(
‘#content’,
‘.entry-content’
);Thanks much for your assistance,

In reply to: [Ascend] “Footer Copyright Text” Section – Adding HTMLHi, Hannah,
Yes, that works, thank you!
For some reason, I was incorrectly remembering that HTML code could not be added to the the “Footer Copyright Text” field (WP > Appearance > Theme Options > Footer Settings). I should have again tried before writing you and I do apologize.
Sincerely,

In reply to: [Ascend] Mobile Menu Overlay Color, OpacityHi, Hannah,
Thanks for your reply.
Well, I am able to set the hover color in Appearance, Theme Options > Menu Settings.
What I am referring to is the black semi-transparent masking overlay that covers normal content after the mobile menu stack or mobile search icon is clicked.
Thanks for your assistance,

In reply to: [Ascend] Breakpoint, Mobile MenuOkay.
I navigated to Theme Options > Mobile Header, but I do not see a “disable” control.

In reply to: [Ascend] Breakpoint, Mobile MenuHello, Hannah,
I would like to try a break-point of 480 pixels, but I may need to adjust that.
Thank you for your assistance.
