In reply to: [All-in-One WP Migration and Backup] Backup size increased by 50%This ticket is indeed resolved thanks to the entire Servmask team as everyone contributed to it’s resolution.
LesleyM suggested that I send my support request to Servmask support team.
Yani suggested that I compare my backup files via a servmask trakor page which wasn’t intuitive but the right place and action for my solution.
Pim suggested from the Servmask support team, emailed that I open up two separate browser of trakor.servmask and drag my files into them for comparison.
After I placed the first 6GB backup into the trakor and it completed, I immediately knew why my backups were increasing.
Before I purchased “All In One WP-Migration plugin, I purchased UpdraftPlus and still allow it to automatically backup my WP database in its entirety.
Updraft backups remain on my WP server until I manually pull them to an external device.
When I run a AI1 backup, it save EVERYTHING including newly saved backups by UpdraftPLUS.
I pulled off all my UpdraftPlus backups to an external drive then deleted them all from my WP-Server.
Next I ran another AI1WPM backup and “VOILA!” it’s back to just 6GB from the crazy 16GB it grew to from the extra backups.
This is a GREAT plugin and you guys really do offer a great service.
My permanent solution is to delete the UpdraftPlus plugin because it is highly unlikely I will need it any longer.
Thanks again “Team-Servmask”.

In reply to: [All-in-One WP Migration and Backup] Backup size increased by 50%…alas team, I do believe we have an issue with the backup size with the plugin.
Here’s a summary how I arrived at the fact that this plugin may have a sizing problem.
____________________On
5-25-2018 – I migrate my live 6gb website to my live test site where I test changes. Notice the backup size from the main site was only 6gb and since it was a straight migration, I assumed it was the same size on the test site; was I wrong to assume that?5-28-2018 – I added 8 images with text to the site which consumed no more than 31mb in total size.
5-29-2018 – I updated about 6 plugins from Thrive Theme on the main site.
5-31-2018 (today) I backed up the main site and it created a 9gb backup which appears to be a problem.
5-31-2018 – I thought perhaps the updated plugins were the culprit so I proceed to backup the test site which at this point is a mirror version of the main site on 5-25-2018. I had plan to update the same plugins on the test site after the backup of the test site and then back it up again to see if that is where the size difference was coming from.
You can imagine my ABSOLUTE SHOCK when the test site which haven’t changed AT ALL FROM THE MIGRATION created a backup size of 16GB, well over double the size of the original backup on the main site. —- How is that at all possible? At the very least it should have only been 6gb and defintely no more than 9gb which is the current size of the main site.
Please help me sort through this.
Thank you.

In reply to: [All-in-One WP Migration and Backup] Backup size increased by 50%…I realized that wordpress will duplicate and add images in multiple sizes so I tripled the original sizes of each of the 8 images I added between backups and it only added up to 31mb which is a FAR cry from 3gb.

In reply to: [EWWW Image Optimizer] So Far – So GoodThat’s hilarious because I was about to respond and ask you where exactly did you find that link. However, on my way back up the page, I saw it and had an “AHAAAAAA!” moment.
OK, I will concede that it must be my eyes so if I can’t upgrade my ratings to a five star officially, then let this post be the 5 Star rating. π

In reply to: [Admin Custom Login] Photo Slider SizeHi weblizar and thank you for responding amidst your busy schedule.
I have created two Camtasia Login Video for you to see what is going on.
(The actual login in real time looks much better than the videos). The
videos are on my golf server to make it easy for you to view; see the
weblinks below.I have also attached the actual images I used to create the Photo-Slider
initially (That’s the DistortedLook and where the trouble began). The current view is acceptable but I just felt it should not have been a
lot of work to get there.I appreciate your help.

This is the way my website looks today and I can live with this.meazlesgolf.com/DistortedLook.mp4
This is the way my website looked initially before I manipulated and resizes the images to fit a template.)Sorry, I could not attach the images here and the email I initially replied to is a dead-end email address to WordPress.

In reply to: [Admin Custom Login] Photo Slider SizeHi Weblizar,
I am just seeing your reply (2-8-2018).
My website is not yet active as I am not pointing to it yet but you might be able to see the sign-on screen here: http://198.20.73.162/~takebac1/wp-login.php
I had to manipulate the image via trial and error to get them to not look out of proportion as much as possible. This is why some of the images top may appear cut off because I ultimately created a template and place the pictures in that which still stretch them out of proportion a little.
Nonetheless, for all this plugin in does, I will live with it as it doesn’t look too bad.
Thank you very much!

I see you have already fixed the things I was concerned with. THANK YOU VERY MUCH – THAT WAS REALLY FAST!
I can’t rate the plugin higher than a five so I sent you $25 to show you my appreciation so that you will continue to make the plugin available.

In reply to: Plugin RecommendationI got it done.
I am using a plugin called “Author Category”. I created a separate gategory for each merchant and assign them to their category only and I posted them to the Nav bar as a drop-down menu. It looks and works great.
If he does that and upgrade to the “Pro” version, will he need Two separate licenses?

In reply to: [Participants Database] Required Fields Not Effective (Bummer)Thank you Roland,
Somehow our communication was not getting through to one another and we have since connected.
The suggestion regarding the Single-Page form has me thinking that will be the answer I am looking for.
I have since change my review to 5 stars and I truly mean that.
I expect to purchase the Search plugin shortly (when I get back into town) and I suspect it will greatly enhance my database and project.
Thank you again and my apologies for the hurried review.
