Support » Plugin: EWWW Image Optimizer » So Far – So Good (3-29-2018)

  • I would have given this plugin a FIVE STAR review had it simply notified us in the details or some other prominent place that the number of images on your WordPress site is only a fraction of the number of images that will be optimized.

For instance, if your WordPress Image Library is showing 1000 images, then you will need to purchase enough credits to optimize about 8000 images because WordPress will create “ONE” image in several sizes for you to select from. (That was revealed to me AFTER I purchased the plugin, but I did understand it, just didn’t consider it and could have save a little money by taking advantage of a different package of credits during my initial purchase which was Pre-Paid.

You mean, like the link in step #1 on https://ewww.io/plans/ where it directs you to this page: https://ewww.io/how-many-images-do-i-need/

Admittedly, I use to have an even more obnoxious notice on the signup page about the WordPress resizes, but I revamped that recently, so I’ll certainly keep your feedback in mind, and perhaps the obnoxious notice will need to be reinstated if it becomes an issue again 🙂

That’s hilarious because I was about to respond and ask you where exactly did you find that link. However, on my way back up the page, I saw it and had an “AHAAAAAA!” moment.

OK, I will concede that it must be my eyes so if I can’t upgrade my ratings to a five star officially, then let this post be the 5 Star rating. 🙂

Yeah, I’m sure there’s some improvement that can be made there so it’s more obvious, so thanks again for the feedback!
