In reply to: [Events Manager - Calendar, Bookings, Tickets, and more!] QUESTION DEV TEAMBut these are quite obvious issues had it have been tested on pre release of WP4.4 i pointed one out weeks before it got released and submitting an event?? come on the most obvious to have found on testing
from admin bar, events – add event this adds event doing it that way but using dedicated page [event_form] don’t work
Any update on this yet? and can we mark this as not solved please
Try this chaps
from admin bar, events – add event this adds event doing it that way but using dedicated page [event_form] don’t workYou will see it still showing as if not submitted, but go look it will be there so don’t submit it twice not the solution but it works for now
I have a form users submit so i don’t give them access, so this is only any good if you add them yourselves
Also tried directly from admin bar events-add event this adds event doing it that way it appears on test site, but same page appears with details on as if not submitted (maybe does doing that way?) but using dedicated page
[event_form]don’t workAlso works that way on live site
Can’t get any dev version on my local copy, does not see any, not trying on live site
i,m having same issue on live and test site see
https://wordpress.org/support/topic/unable-to-add-event-in-wp-44?replies=3
for errorsDeactivated all plugins on my local test copy, used default them, only plugin active is events manager and i get same issue on my test site so can only be events manager and/or wp4.4
Was this plugin ever tested on 4.4 by dev team, we have the category error (no update) and now can’t add events sorry but that is crazy
Tried just a test date, times, event name and description get
[17-Dec-2015 21:02:53 UTC] WordPress database error Column 'post_excerpt' cannot be null for query INSERT INTOwp_posts(post_author,post_date,post_date_gmt,post_content,post_content_filtered,post_title,post_excerpt,post_status,post_type,comment_status,ping_status,post_password,post_name,to_ping,pinged,post_modified,post_modified_gmt,post_parent,menu_order,post_mime_type,guid) VALUES (1, '2015-12-17 21:02:53', '2015-12-17 21:02:53', 'test', '', 'test', NULL, 'publish', 'event', 'closed', 'closed', '', 'test', '', '', '2015-12-17 21:02:53', '2015-12-17 21:02:53', 0, 0, '', '') made by require('wp-blog-header.php'), require_once('wp-load.php'), require_once('wp-config.php'), require_once('wp-settings.php'), do_action('init'), call_user_func_array, em_init_actions, EM_Event->save, wp_insert_postwhere exactly is the next event you wanted? [event post_id="365"]Next Event #_CATEGORYNEXTEVENT [/event]Nothing silly like Clearing your cache and cookies for this site, or trying another browser or something to do with mod_rewrite rules set on server?
Just a thought
