When updating to 4.4 on test site, all my events disappear from calendar and on listing page or when viewing the event from settings/events i get
Warning: array_map(): Argument #2 should be an array in C:\xampp\htdocs\xxxxxxx\wp-includes\category-template.php on line 1158

is this a WP issue or events manager?

Just to let you know a new version of Events Manager has just been released that should fix this issue.

I just updated mine (and am using WP 4.4) and it’s still giving the same type of error.

Warning: array_map(): Argument #2 should be an array in /home/xxxxx/public_html/wp-includes/category-template.php on line 1158

Warning: Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by (output started at /home/xxxxx/public_html/wp-includes/category-template.php:1158) in /home/xxxxx/public_html/wp-admin/post.php on line 197

@sashafiero When specifically is this happening? I’m guessing it’s not on the events page, likely somewhere else or when you’re performing some sort of action (e.g. submitting an event) given the header info error.

First, I’ll say that enabling categories does “fix” it, or at least prevent the problem from showing up. So that helps.
But yes, the page barfs when you submit an event from the back end. It does go through, it’s just you have to go back to the wp admin manually, as the page halts after that error.

It actually WAS causing trouble, showing that error or something similar, on the events page, but it’s not now, even if categories are disabled.

@sashafiero we will prevent the offending function from firing when cats are disabled regardless, but can you confirm whether this is still happening for you in 4.4.1?

before it was throwing errors for me, now it’s not, it may have been a bug in WP that was fixed as well.

That does look like 4.4.1 fixed it! Thanks for letting me know.

Yay 🙂 thanks for confirming. Must have been a 4.4-specific bug then, but as I mentioned we’ll be preventing the call on our end that triggered the error anyway.
